Our corporate office in Santa Clarita is seeking a motivated PART TIME (20 hours per week) HR/Payroll & Marketing Assistant who wants to expand their Human Resources knowledge and also utilize his or her creative and technical skills to manage our website, social media platforms and marketing efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Onboard new hires in ADP and assist in the execution of the new hire process (running background checks, emailing documents to new hires).
o Communicate with new hire and hiring manager to ensure all start date and onboarding steps are completed (new account registration, i9 processing, etc) in a timely manner.
o Review and edit all hourly employee timecards in ADP. Respond to employee inquiries (managers and their teams) regarding any timecard questions or concerns.
o Enter and keep track of any special payment codes, including COVID-19 sick pay and FLSA codes.
o Communicate regularly with hiring managers and internal staff regarding updated or new policies, company holidays and time off schedules, required paperwork and signatures.
o Oversee and coordinate the monthly company newsletter, gathering information and formatting it into a visually appealing piece.
o Manage postings to social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
o Manage company website, adding and editing products catalog, as well as all necessary updates.
o Utilize Canva/Photoshop/other to create visually appealing marketing materials, including flyers (hard copy and digital), emails, and client collateral.
o Assist with internal campaigns designed to enhance company culture, inclusivity, productivity, and social responsibility.
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:
o Exceptional writing and spelling skills
o Very strong attention to detail, including numbers (light math skills are involved for calculating final paychecks and assessing timecard hours)
o Emotional intelligence, receptive to ideas and constructive feedback, and a strong desire to learn
o Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of one or more graphic design programs (like Canva or Photoshop) and capable of designing basic marketing materials for internal and external communication
o A talent for catching on quickly to new web platforms (we use Wix) is a major plus
