PuzzleHR is seeking a Human Resource Manager for a direct hire for Builderz Warehouse.
Hiring: Human Resource Manager
Full-time: Salary Rate: $70,000 - $120,000 Annually
Hours: 7:00 – 3:30 PM, Mon – Fri
Location: Phoenix, AZ

JOB SUMMARY:
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing all Human Resource functions while interfacing with employees, managers, and external stakeholders. The HR Manager is a hands-on position that requires you to work collaboratively in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will find talent to onboard, process payroll, evaluate benefit options, provide instruction to management in coaching, perform interviews and performance reviews, track time and attendance, EEOC and unemployment claims, and provide sound guidance to managers in all facets of human capital.
What You’ll be doing:
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Fostering an engaging, high-performance culture through providing support and guidance to management and employees around complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues that arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Analyzes trends in staffing, compensation, and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Driving and participating in continuous improvement initiatives that support growth and retention
Sets the standards of excellence for HR policies and practices while maintaining the integrity of the organization.
Coordinate and Facilitate onboarding, new hire orientation, and annual benefit meetings
Provide comprehensive reporting to align key business strategies
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in Human Resources, or related field required.
SHRM Certified required.
5+ years of experience with recruiting and hiring exempt and non-exempt staff: including passive candidate sourcing.
Experience with iSolved payroll software is a plus.
5+ years of complex employee relations experience
Experience leading skill development training for staff and Leadership development
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
