Salary Range ($70,000 - $90,000 a year) DOE
General Summary: The HR Manager is responsible for the administration of the human resource function at our 3 facilities. This includes recruiting, selection, orientation, training and maintaining employee files.

he HR Manager is also a member of the strategic leadership team at the locations served.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responds to inquiries regarding openings and explains the application process. Reviews resumes. Conducts the initial screening interview for all positions.
- Works closely with program management to remain updated as to staffing needs.
- Assisting with scheduling and the review of new hire on-boarding and orientation.
- Educates the employees in regard to personnel file requirements and benefit options.
- Maintains a current electronic personnel file for each employee that is accurate and up to date.
- Administers changes and updates in the HRIS system.
- Communicates information to division and corporate HR Directors.
- Coordinates background checks and all related issues.
- Serves as key point of contact for all drug test related issues.
- Communicate monthly with employees when training, tests, etc. at are expiring or have not been completed.
- Handles unemployment claims.
- Schedules and conducts required training.
- Recognizes each employee on his/her birthday.
- Completes Exit Interviews for employees leaving the program.
- Other duties as assigned
What do you bring to this position?
- Knowledge of HR management practices and approaches.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws governing compensation and benefits.
- Knowledge of performance management program design and administration.
- Knowledge of legal recruiting and selection practices.
- Skill in writing job descriptions, memorandums, letters, and proposals.
- Skill in use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Skill in interviewing technique and process.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
Education and Experience:
The position requires the equivalent of a BA in human resource, business or psychology related field plus 2 - 5 years of hiring/ HR experience.
