Meriplex is looking to enhance our People team with an experienced HRBP looking to focus their generalist background on our heavy organic growth model. This role will focus on the supporting the full life cycle of HR functions for the employee functions that are associated with Core Meriplex. We are seeking an ambitious, energetic, and highly-motivated individual who is looking to touch all aspects of providing full-service business partner support. This role will report to our VP of HR in the Houston Office.

This is not a remote position however, it can be located in Houston, TX or Camarillo, CA. This role will require travel. Although it will be well planned out the successful candidate will be comfortable with in-person connections with our newly acquired employees.

Key Responsibilities

· Work with the key stakeholder (usually previous owners) and other key internal leaders on the critical action items necessary for large groups of employee onboarding. This will be different of each acquisition and includes but is not limited to:

  • Compensation analysis – base, bonus, and incentives
  • Communication strategy for new employees
  • Benefits enrollment and necessary true-ups
  • Performance Management review and management of any ER issues

· Manage day-to-day people movement of the designated population including, adherence to policy and procedures, and vendor management.

oCoordinate internal interviews

· Assist in the formal development of previous KPIs into our companywide KPIs.

· Partner with the HR team to rework all active job descriptions or new roles that were not previously part of the legacy company. Goal to have every employee have an updated job description and each department have a full career tree developed by end of month nine of the acquisition onboarding.

· Remain current on industry and compliance regulations that ensure Meriplex is ahead of the curve.

· Develop or enhance as well as maintain relationships with employees, vendors, recruitment targets, and internal teams.

Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college required. Associate Degree with equivalent experience accepted.

· 5-7 years of HR Generalist experience. HRBP for IT or engineering firms preferred but not required – IT Managed Services and/or telecommunications experience highly preferred.

· Experience working within HRIS and other software platforms required, NetSuite, JazzHR, Namely and/or UKG experience preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to drive timelines and escalate, as necessary.

· Ability to work with minimum supervision.

· Must have intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills. Role is heavy in reporting and KPI tracking.

· Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrates use of critical thinking techniques.

· Sound business acumen skills; thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic growth-oriented work environment.

· Excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
