As our Benefits Administrator, you will oversee and actively manage all aspects of Benefits Administration. This is a great opportunity if you are ready to take the next step and function more autonomously, truly owning the Benefits process and participating in developing both the short- and long-term benefits strategy. Partnering with our Manager, Total Rewards, you will ensure that our Benefits offerings are competitive and optimize cost but, equally as important, you will design a structure that is valued by our team members and reflects who we are as a company. If you enjoy collaborating, ensuring that benefit programs are well-understood company-wide and executing on benefits with a focused level of excellence, this role is for you.


What Will YOU Do? ... the day to day

  • Administer Annual Benefits Enrollment, New Hire Benefits Enrollment, and Life event processes.
  • Play a key role in benefit planning and lead all benefit administration.
  • Partner with the Total Rewards Manager to effectively communicate and engage team members to increase understanding of all benefits programs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all benefits programs and administration including all Health and Welfare Plans, Flex Plans, Retirement Plans, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and IRS regulations to ensure a successful employee experience.
  • Work with insurance carriers for timely resolution of issues regarding eligibility and claims.
  • Develop benefits broker relationships and actively participate in plan renewal meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the benefits enrollment experience easy and all communication and training position team members to make well-informed decisions.
  • Develop and execute Wellness initiatives with Total Rewards Manager to achieve wellness goals.
  • Implement a continuous improvement practice for all benefit-related programs and ensure we are achieving desired outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of trends, legislative changes, and best practices within the benefits field.
  • Be the first line of defense for solving all benefit related issues. Identify systemic or frequent benefit issues and implement immediate and long-term solutions.
  • Develop and maintain benefit interfaces.
  • Work collaboratively with HR and Payroll/Finance team members to continually update, secure, and manage HR/Payroll Systems and ensure data integrity.

What Do I Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Plus 2- 4 years working in Benefits within an HR team

We value flexibility and work-life balance. Magid has a "Hybrid" work week schedule with a required 3 days a week in office and 2 days remote. Our corporate and primary manufacturing facility is headquartered in Romeoville (IL). Days in the office may be flexible based upon department and conversations with your manager.

As a condition of employment, Magid is requiring new employees to be vaccinated on their first day of employment. This requirement can be met by providing proof of having been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with any of the three COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson).
