JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an organized, detail- oriented, Human Resource Assistant with a desire to help others to join our team. The Human Resource Assistant works in concert with all levels of the firm to support Human Resource related strategies and procedures, drive positive employee relations, strengthen, and develop talent within the organization, and influence competitive talent branding to attract and retain a top-quality talent.

Job duties will include:

· Serve as a trusted resource for all employees at any time and in any professional circumstance.

· Ensure the firm is following all applicable employment laws.

· In conjunction with relevant managers, efficiently and effectively fill open positions with qualified candidates.

· Manage and coordinate the staffing process by setting up interviews, posting jobs, screening candidates, doing background checks, managing communications with prospective candidates, and developing first day training schedules for new hires.

· Responsible for daily administrative support for HR related activities, including managing day-to-day HR issues, annual open enrollment, retirement planning, leave of absence administration, COBRA, etc.

· Support the HR Manager in Planning, coordinating and executing employee functions in order to improve employee engagement.

· Help coordinate annual performance reviews for employees.

· Assist HR Manager in developing internal communications and feedback systems to ensure an open, communicative, and transparent work environment.

· Partner with HR Manager to further streamline the onboarding/offboarding process.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, or related coursework required

· 2+ years of experience in Human Resources

· Legal experience is a plus

· Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills

· Personal commitment to organizational excellence

· Honesty, integrity, and strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions

· Effective oral and written communicate skills

· Ability to work under pressure with strict multiple deadlines

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to support the needs of the business

· Ability to act independently and as a team member

· Ability to adapt to the needs of the firm and employees

· Intermediate skill level in all Microsoft Office applications

This position will initially be an in-office position in the San Diego office, with a hybrid schedule option once initial training is complete.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
