PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Assures that all assigned guest rooms/suites exceed brand standards for overall cleanliness. Report
maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain rooms/suite standards. Exceed brand standards for
friendliness and helpfulness to guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans a standard of 16 rooms/credits as assigned
  • Making beds and changes linens
  • Clean bathrooms and replenishes bathroom supplies
  • Disinfect surfaces, phone, door knobs, handles, etc.
  • Dusting
  • Vacuum
  • Washes windows, door panels, and sills
  • Replenishes linen and guest supplies
  • Straightens furniture
  • Sweeps, scrubs, and polishes floor
  • Spot cleans walls and woodwork
  • Empties all wastebaskets
  • Check maid cart for supplies, stock as needed
  • Reports maintenance deficiencies
  • Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from rooms/suite
  • Transfers item left in rooms to lost and found, and documents the finding of the item
  • Respond to special requests by guests

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
This position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the
percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the
particular requirements of the company:

  • Provide customer service to guests
  • Assist co-workers, as requested

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities
and be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled.
  • Ability to physically be able to move large objects such as: carts, large bags of linen, ironing

board.

  • Ability to physically be able to operate cleaning equipment such as: vacuum cleaners, brooms,

spray bottles

  • Ability to read and recognize room/suite numbers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
  • Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of suite.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency

situations.
Safety Requirements
Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. Team members are
responsible to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School graduate diploma or equivalent preferred. 6 months to 1 year cleaning experience in
housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow team members.

GROOMING STANDARDS
Team Members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific guidelines will be
explained during the orientation process.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member
to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50+ pounds. Job frequently requires standing, walking, kneeling,
crouching, bending, stooping
The hospitality industry functions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any team member may be required
to work rotating shifts, overnight shifts, overtime and holidays. Also, depending on the season, hours
may be reduced at any time.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with LondonHouse rules, regulations,
expectations and standards. All team members who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to
disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $23.30 per hour
