We're hiring for a Housekeeper!
JOB SUMMARY
- Must be Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19
- Minimum 1 year housekeeping experience in a similar environment or hotel industry, preferred
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to problem solve and follow-through on assignments.
- ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not inclusive)
- Understand and perform the cleaning procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures using proper cleaning techniques at all times.
- Cleans all assigned floor surfaces using (wet, dry or appliance method) within the specified period.
- Clean, dust, polish and wash all visible furniture, light fixtures, painted or wood surfaces including, handrails or ledges, inside and outside of doors including door frames , moldings, baseboards, window frames and sills, picture frames and other exposed and visible surfaces according to Department standards and within assigned time frame.
- Wash and disinfect all bathroom and kitchen fixtures, surfaces and appliances, and remove all refuse according to Department standards for all assigned areas.
- Vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, changing & laundering of linen, pay attention to detail, display great customer service experience.
- Spot clean fingerprints, smudges, spots and soil on all wall, mirror and resilient or carpeted floor areas and all other visible surfaces within assigned work areas on a daily basis.
- Move furniture while cleaning all assigned work areas to ensure cleanliness behind and under all furniture appliances.
- Defrost refrigerators and check and maintain properly dated food items in all assigned areas in accordance with the departmental prescribed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist with resident seasonal clothing storage by arranging pickup and delivery to the third floor storage area as assigned.
- Wash and hang window blinds; hand clean, (or per resident charge dry clean) curtains according to Supervisors schedule.
- Window washing will be done twice a year or as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 years or more experience in a healthcare setting desirable; hotels/hospitality experience also a plus.
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication (Oral & Written)
SCHEDULE
- Shift Available: 7am-3:30pm & e/o weekend
KNOWLEDGE; SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Proven experience as housekeeper with good organizational skills
- Solid understanding of housekeeping procedures and best practices
- Knowledge of quality standards
- Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
· Must be a team player while being able to work independently
· History of excellent attendance
· Must enjoy being of service to senior adults
· Maintains a neat, professional appearance
· Housekeeping and/or Laundry experience preferred
· Must be able to follow oral and written instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
· Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members and other personnel
· Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
· Maintain working area for sanitation, order and safety
