Duties and Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Lead Housekeeper the Housekeeper will maintain specified cleaning responsibilities in assigned buildings and should be able to make independent decisions to accomplish the day-to-day custodial responsibilities.
  • Knowledge in the operations of building services and related equipment and tasks
  • Knowledge of "best practices" for sanitizing, disinfecting cleaning processes
  • Requires interaction with various staff members and fellow team members
  • Requires the ability to remain flexible while working closely with other housekeeping staff; in addition to all Facility Managers and departments across campus to coordinate specific services as needed
  • May be required to work overtime as directed by supervision
  • This position supervises students assigned to projects

Education

• High School Diploma is required

Experience

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a team member on detailed day-to-day tasks
• Team player

Required Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
• Excellent decision-making skills
• Must have a valid driver's license
