At TBC Hotels, we are looking for an outstanding Task Manager to provide support and leadership to various hotels within our companies’ portfolio. We own and operate several Marriott and Hilton branded hotels as well as independent hotels in the Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West, and South-East regions.

This position will not be assigned permanently to any one location; however, the “hub” will be based in Raleigh, NC. The position will be assigned temporarily to aid with vacancies or the need for additional personnel, in a variety of departments at various locations throughout the portfolio. This role will cover a wide-ranging scope of responsibilities. One week you may be assigned to the housekeeping department in Wilmington, DE, the next assignment may require you to assist the front office in Washington, DC. Etc. Candidates with department head supervisory experience in a variety of positions such as, Housekeeping, Front Office, Sales, overall Operational and General Management will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities include the following:

  • Work closely, and quickly build rapport, with the property management team and staff.
  • Encourage mutual respect, trust, and cooperation among team members.
  • Serve as a company representative and role model to demonstrate appropriate behavior.
  • Provide managerial support to associates, guests, and leadership.
  • Ensure brand and company standards are always adhered to.
  • Work in assigned departments on a needed basis; deliver upon expected job tasks.
  • Ensure open lines of communication with hotel leadership and above property team.
  • Adhere to all company operating procedures.
  • Advocate sound financial/business decisions
  • Deliver upon short and long-term strategic goals for temporarily assigned location.
  • Assist locations in delivering exceptional guest services and maximizing departmental profits.
  • Assist Director of Operations in various departmental projects to support the hotel portfolio.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to travel extensively as needed. 85-90% of the time this position will be on the road.
  • Ability to learn and execute upon new roles/tasks/job responsibilities in a rapid manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast- paced environment.
  • Must be available to work, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Have 3-5 years of hotel managerial experience in a variety of operational departments.
  • Pose the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to thirty pounds without assistance.

Must have the ability to bend, squat, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs

  • Positive interpersonal skills: excellent customer service skills.
  • Work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.
  • High School or equivalent education
  • Ability to utilize basic technology including a smartphone and a computer.
  • Experience in maintenance or building trades preferred.
  • Perform electrical, dry wall, painting, and plumbing work.
