Miami Lakes Hotel is a destination designed for the business and leisure traveler alike. Our hotel is unique as we are the only full-service hotel resort in the Miami Lakes area. Located on Main Street, guests can enjoy a variety of upscale shops, a 17-Cineplex movie theater, and over a dozen restaurants all just steps away from our door.

WORK OBJECTIVE:

The General Maintenance Engineer I works on the diverse range of maintenances within the hotel. Will respond and conduct maintenance in guest rooms as needed, as well as work orders assigned by Supervisor or within the automated Espresso System.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the company.

• Must have good interpersonal skills to deal with guests and staff.

• Must be alert, accurate, precise, and detailed oriented.

• Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with hotel maintenance.

• Ability to understand and use electrical, plumbing, mechanical, A/C/Refrigeration. Knowledge of these systems and ability to operate a vehicle.

• Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, as well as other equipment.

• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

• Must possess ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and follow through.

• Must be able to operate effectively under distress/stressful situations.

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

• Regular and reliable attendance.

Education:

High School Diploma: Trade certifications preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
