Major Function:

Responsible for ongoing and preventative maintenance of hotel operations and equipment repairs; Must be able to work flexible hours and be on-call 24 hours a day if an emergency arises.

Essential Function:

• Provide the highest level of service to the guest at all times
• Ensure guest satisfaction by properly maintaining property and guest rooms
• Possess a good mechanical knowledge of how to safely operate and maintain all tools
• Maintain and repair all manageable mechanical operations and equipment including, but not limited to:
• Electrical wiring, Small plumbing problems, Windows, doors, locks, and keys, Drywall repair, wall papering, painting, caulking, Equipment maintenance (washer, dryer, HVAC, vacuums), Furniture and upholstery repair
• Respond to and complete all work orders in a timely manner
• Complete and track guest room and preventative maintenance program as outlined
• Communicate room status changes to Housekeeping Manager
• Help maintain the parking lot, sidewalks and grounds
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures
• Assist Chief Maintenance Engineer with all tasks as necessary
• Keep all work areas (shop and guest rooms) neat and orderly
• Repeated bending, stooping and lifting/moving weights up to 50 lbs. as well as prolonged standing/walking
• All other duties as assigned by a supervisor, of which you are capable

Customer Service Standards:

• Acknowledge a guest immediately with a smile and a friendly greeting using 10 foot rule
• Handle guest requests immediately; Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel
• Stop personal/business conversations among Associates in order to assist guests
• Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm
• Offer improvement ideas and acknowledge good performance of others
• Practice safety standards at all times
• Comply with all rules and regulations of the company and those as outlined within the Associate Handbook
• Wear proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance
• Provide a professional image for our guests by keeping a proper attitude toward co-workers, promoting teamwork, and helping to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the hotel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
