Who we are looking for:

A maintenance person to join our leadership team on property. Our property is a small, quiet and well-maintained 62 room property in South Fargo.

Someone who is:

• Responsible and reliable and can work independently
• Knowledgeable of maintenance practices, laws, regulations and guidelines of building functions, with a can-do attitude who is willing to learn
• Able to plan and carry out programs in repair, construction and equipment maintenance
• Resourceful and good at troubleshooting
• Willing to carry out and complete checklists pertaining to preventive maintenance on all existing equipment and grounds on property

Skills:

• Learning Agility
• Able to locate and correct in room heating, ventilator and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions, or advise the general manager that outside help is needed promptly
• Make systematic checks on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits.
• Handle all in house repairs including but not limited to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wall boards, wall vinyl, carpentry, plumbing systems including pipelines, toilets and sinks and any other necessary repairs.
• Maintain all electrical systems such as refrigerators, televisions, and lighting.
• Able to keep organized records, notes, and documentation ( we do use an online reporting system)
• Responsible for upkeep of grounds, as needed. We do contract out for lawn care and snow removal, so this would be light work
• Perform duties in accordance with Safety and Security Policies and Procedures, and help develop more efficient or safe procedures with the General Manager.
• Perform duties in accordance with OSHA, HAZCOM and Blood Borne Pathogens regulations and other applicable state and local regulations.
• Help develop safety training for all staff
• Present information to others
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent education and training

Experience and Skills:

• Previous maintenance/handyman experience required. Will consider transferable skills
• Advance knowledge of building management and engineering preferred
• Highly energetic and motivated individual
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer/client focus essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing, carrying, bending, and walking

Reports To: The General Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
