Job description
The host or Hostess must show up to work on time consistently. He or she must be well groomed in a clean, ironed uniform. He or she must show a consistently good and up beat attitude. Also, show the ability to work with customers and staff effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Host/Hostess warmly greets guests as they enter and accommodate any special needs
- Host/Hostess answers and addresses all phone calls directed to Host/hostess stand in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
- Host/Hostess calculates approximate wait time and manages guests’ expectations when there is a waitlist
- Host/Hostess thanks guests as they leave and invite them to come back
- Host/Hostess performs other functions as time permits and as necessary including, but not limited to, rolling silverware, cleaning the entryway, seating
- Host/Hostess advises a Manager of any guest complaints
