Slater's 50/50 will be opening in Torrance, CA!

A national gourmet burger restaurant is looking for Hosts for its newest restaurant in Torrance, CA. This is a stunning location in the Del Amo Fashion Center! The award winning casual concept features the signature gourmet burgers and a large selection of draft beers on tap.

The concept is a destination restaurant with over 16,000+ Yelp! reviews across its other stores and has been featured on Zagat's Review, NBC Los Angeles and Business Insider.

Host/Hostess

Department: Operations
Reports to: Floor Managers / General Manager
Position Summary: Provide excellent service to all guests at Slater’s 50/50

Major Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Be able to build rapport with guests, have a constant smile, keep a positive attitude, and take the initiative to stay busy and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.

• Greet and welcome guests; take and serve takeout orders; take and serve food table orders when needed to back up servers.

• Seat customers in compliance with Server sections, and not over seat sections
• Provide guests with any and all items needed while visiting Slater’s 50/50.

• Effectively merchandise food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly and enthusiastic manner.

• Accurately take guests orders.

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies.

• Keep front entrance and Host Desk neat and clean.
• Buss tables, wipe tables and chairs, sweep/clean floors and rugs.

• Clock in and out as required by your shift and take breaks as required by policy.

• Be aware of, and abide by all Slater’s 50/50 policies, procedures, rules and

regulations.

• Report to the General Manager and other supervisors as directed.

• Have extensive knowledge of the current menu.

• Perform any other job duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

o Adequate skills and experience to perform job duties
o Able to stand for 8 hours - walks and stands during entire shift. o Able to communicate with team members

o Able to understand and follow all policies and procedures
o Able to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other

o Able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push and lift.

o Frequent washing of hands.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
