A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOME CARE AND HOSPICE COMMUNITY LIAISON

The Community Liaison responsible for developing and managing relationships with referral sources in the community to promote VNAHSR services and help expand our homecare and hospice business in Vermont.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources in skilled nursing/rehab facilities, independent and assisted living facilities, hospital case managers, physician's offices, etc.
  • Engage with the community through networking and community events.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to generate increased customer referrals.
  • Serves on a variety of committees for marketing and fund raising events. Provides on-site and pre-event support to committee members, and others leading up to, and during planned events.
  • Fostered VNAHSR's positive image through public relations.
  • Conduct market analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Conduct sales calls, and evaluate results and effectiveness of sales activity.
  • Assists at a variety of special events, trade shows and other marketing/community relations activities as needed. Presents self in a professional manner at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field required.
  • At least two years recent sales experience in the health care industry; Proven ability to develop and implement a sales and marketing plan; Excellent planning, organization and presentation skills are critical; The ideal candidate will have established healthcare contacts and be able to readily network in the community.
  • Valid state driver's license required. Ability to successfully pass motor vehicle record check, child abuse, criminal record check and adult abuse check required.
