About Us

Heritage Tavern is an independent restaurant that is family owned and operated. We offer an upscale atmosphere with fine dining service and a fun craft cocktail bar. We have been successfully operating since 2013 and offer a vibrant menu with fresh farm to table influences and old world classics.

We work with local ingredients from farmers in Dane county and high quality meats from our own animals and meat processing facility.

Fox Heritage Farms/Willow Creek is our sister company, located in Prairie du Sac. We raise pure Berkshire hogs on small WI family farms and operate a meat processing facility that sells products both wholesale and retail.

Job Requirements

Must be professional, hardworking, and able to grasp menu nuances. Looking for availability evenings and weekends - dinner and brunch service.

Must recognize the importance of providing exceptional service and always strive to give our guests a positive and memorable experience.

Fine dining experience preferred.

Team Responsibilities:

• Assist with opening and closing duties, based on number sections
• Learn and follow the steps of service
• Work as a team to provide every table the Heritage dining experience

Host Responsibilities:

• Answer phones in a professional manner and assist customers with reservations and answering questions
• Assist with plotting the floor and manipulating the table configurations to set-up a smooth flow of service
• Seat customers at tables and provide the appropriate menus, making sure to communicate any specific details about the table to the server, based on reservation notes. when appropriate
• Greet customers at the door when they arrive and when they depart - ensuring that all customers are welcomed into the space and thanked for coming upon departing
• Perform side work before shift and following the shift
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables, as possible

Support Responsibilities:

• Learn the steps of service and understand the role of support
• Assist with setting and clearing tables
• Run food and drinks to tables from Expo Stations
• Clear dirty dishes from tables and organize in the appropriate area for them to be cleaned
• Assist with polishing clean silverware and glassware and restocking inventory on the floor, during busy shifts or at the beginning of the shift

Our Menu

We are known for certain classic dishes that will always be on our menu (Bouillabaisse, Pork Schnitzel, Crispy Pork Belly and Tuna, Beet Salad, Ham Sandwich, Heritage Burger). But, we spice things up with seasonal specials and new dishes the kitchen has created.

Cocktails and wine are another important aspect of our menu at Heritage Tavern. We have an extensive cocktail cocktail program and serve outstanding wines.
