EXPLORE YOUR ROLE AS A HEDIS - UTILIZATION REVIEW NURSE

As a HEDIS - Utilization Review Nurse, you play an important role in our HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) review. Each day, you come to work ready to collect and review data from our medical charts. As you do so, you find that your experience as an RN or LPN is invaluable because you are able to look at each record you abstract and clearly grasp the type of care the patient received.

During the review process, you work closely with the project manager, having occasional meetings and keeping each other up to date on the status of the project. If ever substantial problems arise, you take those to the senior director for consideration. As you abstract details and perform data entry, you are discrete and dedicated to complying with HIPAA regulations. You are also accurate and attentive to detail.

WHAT WE NEED IN A HEDIS - UTILIZATION REVIEW NURSE

• Registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) with an unrestricted license
• 2+ years of experience with HEDIS abstraction or over reading
• Proficiency with data entry
• Proficiency with PDFs and MS Word and Excel
• Experience with database management
