Job description

We are looking for a skilled and driven Mechanic to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs on heavy equipment. You will be responsible for applying basic repairs to equipment and ensuring facility equipment are properly maintained and functional.

Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have heavy equipment maintenance experience and a solid understanding of mechanical hands-on work. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Reliable means of transportation is also a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard mechanical repairs such as oil, filter and belt changes
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
• Inspect functionality of safety systems
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals
• Report to the maintenance manager

Skills

• Knowledge of diesel engines
• Knowledge of propane engines and equipment (ie forklifts)
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems
• Experience using hand and electrical tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity
• Welding experience is a bonus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
