The Ross County Health District is actively seeking a motivated Health Promotion Coordinator I within the Division of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement.
Position Description: The Health Promotion Coordinator I is a grant funded position that focuses on implementing projects that aim to improve the health of individuals, they community, and the population we serve. The position acts as the primary point of contact for specific grant projects, serves as a grant coordinator, and is responsible for implementation of grant deliverables and activities as assigned by the Director of Health Promotion. The Health Promotion Coordinator I position is grant funded.
Pay Range: pay is commensurate with education and professional experience.
Hours / Location: Works a general schedule from 8:00 am – 4:30 M-F although flexible schedule may be required, including evenings, weekend, and holidays. Work in office settings, in the field, and outdoors. Requires travel to off-site locations / communities in Ross County and occasionally out of Ross County.
Status, Classification, SLSA Status: Full time, classified, non-exempt.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in public health, nursing, planning or related field; MPA or MPH preferred
· Professional experience in grants management or development preferred
· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to develop, organize, motivate, and coordinate groups.
· Ability to collect, analyze, and organize data.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with staff members, public officials, representatives, and other stakeholders and communicate effectively with various audiences (both in writing and verbally).
· Ability to prepare informative and accurate reports on program progress
· Knowledge of Grants Administration Procedures and related Laws and Regulations
· Knowledge and understanding of the PHAB Accreditation process, familiarity of PHAB Standards, Measures, and Domains.
· Must have a valid State of Ohio driver’s license and remain insurable in accordance with the agency’s insurance policy.
- Ability to pass a B.C.I Background Check and Drug Screening.
