Job description
General Summary:
Provides first tier Electronic Health Record (EHR) software application help desk support. Assists in the set-up and maintenance of the EHR systems and assists with training of medical offices on office workflows and processes for implementing EHR systems. This is an entry level position working under the supervision of the EHR Manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide first tier EHR software support to end users through phone calls, emails, software tickets or in person.
2. Works with tier two support personnel to reports issues that can’t be resolved on the spot utilizing the ticketing system both internally and with the software vendor.
3. Assist with the setting up of new end users and expiring departing staff according to established department protocols.
4. Assist with the testing of new EHR modules, features and upgrades.
5. Assist with the system build and onsite support for new medical offices.
6. Assist with generating reports and analyzing the data to help identify and correct potential workflow issues in the medical offices.
7. Assist with projects requiring data entry.
8. Assist with monitoring daily system functions required to support medical records exchange (interfaces, faxing, eRX)
9. Assist with the administration of the EHR system according to established quality and compliance protocols.
10. On an as needed basis, work with medical offices under the guidance of an EHR Trainer on workflows and documentation procedures.
11. On an as needed basis, assist with training of staff on EHR system.
12. Assist with troubleshooting programs to have pc equipment properly working
13. Other duties as assigned
Required:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Proficient with computer software and technology
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within two hours of metro Toledo area.
- Good task management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor degree in science, technology, business or a health-related field.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of medical office workflows
