POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Center Associate Registration is responsible for greeting patients and visitors, checking in/checking out patients, and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner for all HHC departments, including medical, dental, behavioral health, optometry, OBGYN, and podiatry.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information at all times.
- Registers new patients by verifying and entering demographic data into the EMR.
- Performs check-in and check-out. Ensures all necessary paperwork has been completed and that insurances are verified. Obtains payments and posts to balances for outstanding accounts.
- Verifies patient information when scheduling appointments and/or answering questions.
- Schedules initial and follow-up appointments. Reschedules appointments as needed.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Works a flexible schedule to meet business needs as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
