Jewish Nursery School in Nassau County, Long Island is seeking Head Teacher who love working with young children. Ideal candidates are teachers who are creative, patient, collaborative, confident in working with children with IEPs, and have a knowledge of Jewish values and holidays. Regular school hours are from 9-3 with opportunities to work in before and after care programs.

Core Job Functions:

• Teaching within the classroom on a daily basis to support the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of the students
• Understanding and supporting the school’s play-based educational philosophy
• Ensuring the physical safety of the students
• Developing warm and caring relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
• Collaborating with fellow teachers and administration
• Participating in professional development workshops
• Working in partnership with a co-teacher to provide a stable and calm learning environment

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master's Degree in Education or a related field, or working towards a Masters Degree, or experience teaching young children
