Universal Transit is hiring an experienced Head of Dispatch Department to oversee our Dispatch Department operations and procedures. The Head of Dispatch Department will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

You are responsible for setting up the right operations strategy for dispatch department as well as hiring and leading candidates for dispatch department in several countries. By becoming our Head of Dispatch Department, you will play a key role in shaping our dispatch operations and overall strategy.

We`re seeking candidates with excellent people leadership skills and business acumen to develop the functionality of our Dispatch operations and to guide extensive and diverse Dispatch processes.

Experience as a dispatcher or Dispatch Manager in the Car Hauling field is required.

Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday -Friday 8am-5pm with evening and weekend hours as needed.
Salary: Based on experience + bonus, 1% from the dispatch profit.

Responsibilities:
** Designing and implementing highly effective dispatch strategies, plans, and operations.

** Setting and meeting comprehensive goals for dispatch department performance and growth.

** Establishing practices that promote company culture and vision.

** Analyzing and interpreting data and metrics to drive performance.

** Reporting to the CEO on all matters of importance.

** Build Dispatch Department worldwide and manage them.

** Provide coaching and training to newly hired Dispatchers.

** Communicate and problem solve with dispatch staff.

** Motivate a staff of professional drivers and other dispatch/operations personnel.
** Evaluate incoming pick-up and delivery requests and determine driver assignments.
** Analyze client orders and available driving personnel to plan and execute within client needs and expectations.
** Maintain and update information in internal systems to ensure proper communication with both internal and external customers.
** Develop action plans with dispatch personnel to reduce service failures.

** Utilize transportation management system to dispatch vehicles to carriers

** Audit dispatch comments for accuracy and follow up on any delays/push backs.

** Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports to key stakeholders.

** Work with dispatch team to book and track moves.

** Oversee daily operations of the dispatch department to meet/exceed quality, productivity, and service goals.

** Oversee department strategy, planning, and budgeting activities.

** Maintain adequate staffing levels through recruiting and training.

** Problem-solve operations issues that arise.

** Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

** Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:
** At least 5 years leadership experience, including developing people/teams, required.

** At least 5 years of Dispatch Managerial experience in Car Hauler Business required.

** Experience leading large teams. Worldwide will be plus.

** A passion for Company's mission.

** Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
** Be able to maintain a strong and balanced team by coaching, mentoring, and developing current and new members of the department.

** The ability to facilitate communications both on a one to one and group basis.

** The ability to establish positive Staff and professional relationships.
** Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, TMS.
** Excellent cross-group collaboration, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

** Creative problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation.

** Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

** Technology driven skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per month
