General contractor in Durham, NC seeks hardscape/masonry laborer/driver for our Design/Build Division.

Candidate must be willing to work 10-hour days outside in various weather conditions. Weekend work may be required at times. Overtime will be paid for any hours worked over 40 per week.

The position entails working on a hardscape/masonry installation crew to include, but not limited to the following:

• Responsible for vehicle preparation and mobilizing men and materials to landscaping job sites. (MUST have experience driving medium-duty truck with trailer.)
• Assist in the construction of all types of hardscapes: patios, water features, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, stone walls, pool patios, walkways, driveways, firepits, fireplaces etc.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including: heavy equipment, skid loader, mini-excavator, chainsaws, jackhammers, measurement equipment, shovels, rakes, hammers, drills, etc.
• Loading/unloading equipment/tools and materials
• Mixing mortar/concrete throughout the day
• Assist in laying pavers and stone
• Moving materials around the job site
• Keeping the job site clean and free of debris/trash
• Bilingual preferred – English and Spanish
• Hardscape/Masonry experience preferred

Qualified candidates MUST have a valid NC driver's license, including a clean driving record, and exhibit the following qualities:

• Reliable and reports to work on time and is present at all scheduled days of work.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position to include, but not limited to bending, hunching, kneeling, standing, balancing, climbing, stooping, crawling, twisting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting 50+ lbs.
• Proficiently and safely operates and maintains all equipment
• Ability to follow oral instructions from Foreman or Crew Leader
• Agility to perform as needed if conditions/schedule changes
• Consummate professional

• A willingness to work hard

The position earns an hourly rate of compensation based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and performance.
