Haitian Interpreter to provide support to our Federal Government client in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret between English and Haitian Creole language
- Maintain the appropriate tone of voice, register and observe cultural nuances
- Maintain professionalism through attitude, and interpreting service
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Respond to the interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a professional manner.
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
- Fluent and Proficient in English and Haitian Creole language
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with difficult people and crisis situations
- Flexible availability
- All experience levels encouraged to apply
- Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy during interpretation
- Must be able to pass a language fluency test
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must possess an unexpired passport
- Contract
- Paid Travel / Lodging
- Day Shift - Monday through Saturday
