Position: Field Organizer, Hidalgo County

Desired Start Date: September 27, 2022

Type: Employee - Hourly up to 30/hrs a week

Starting Pay: $18/hr

Join our field team to help boost voter turnout and advocate for Michelle Vallejo as the new Congresswomen in Texas’ 15th Congressional District. We’re talking to voters all across Hidalgo County about why they should get involved in this election and why they should support Michelle Vallejo for Congress. This job will require knocking on doors, motivating voters to go to the polls, and bringing new people into the political process. Status as an Hidalgo County Voter Deputy Registrar is not required, but is encouraged.

Duration: This position will start immediately and continue through November 8th, 2022.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with voters about the importance of the 2022 election

• Be a positive advocate for the Proposition A campaign

• Be responsible with any voter registration data collected

• Organize local businesses, political organizations, and community leaders

• Enter data accurately

• Track time appropriately

• Be responsible for your own transportation and technology

Compensation: Starting at $18/hour up to 30 hours/week. Pay will be remitted twice monthly.

Schedule: Flexible, but with an emphasis on weekends.
