Position Overview: This community support position is for a part-time Green Space Community Outreach Liaison who will be responsible to conduct outreach to community groups and residents, and present objectives of proposed green space development and garner feedback. This position will conduct work in the community, on the streets, going door to door, and attend community meetings that could be in the evening.

Average work hours: 16 hours per month

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Conduct outreach to community groups and residents to present promotional information about green space plans.

· Conduct surveys with residents to ascertain their interests, both positive and negative, about green spaces; participates in creating these surveys

· Develop flyers to promote and inform the community of green development or trainings on growing food, flowers, etc.

· Coordinate and attend special trainings about growing green spaces with landscapers, other non-profits, etc.

· Develop and maintain relationships with community residents to promote the green space project

· Recruit volunteers to participate in projects

· Maintain open communications with the CAN Coordinator

· Prepare and submit the monthly report to the CAN Coordinator

· Adhere to the Program’s mission, purpose, operating procedures, and organizational policies and guidelines.

· Participate on the CAN collaborative

· Maintain a list of community groups and leaders; attend their meetings as appropriate

· Attend special events held at the green space.

Licenses, Registrations and Certificates:

Valid MD Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

• Baltimore, MD 21205: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
