Position and Responsibilities:
BSS is seeking a Grant Writer with a minimum of 5 years of recent experience writing and submitting successful grant proposals and proficiency with competitive federal and state granting.
This professional must have the skills, experience, and proficiency to perform the following responsibilities in an effective and timely manner:
- Identifies appropriate grant opportunities and develops successful applications to secure funding
- Targets grant research, and planning, completing letters of intent, preparing grant proposals and formal grant applications
- Maintains and implements funding calendar activities
- Collaborates with appropriate staff to develop and implement monitoring procedures to track grant implementation
- Manages and multitasks several grant submissions while working with various levels of staff to complete grant-related items
- Performs any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Professional Requirements
At a minimum five years’ experience in writing, developing, submitting, and securing major grants at the county, state, and federal levels. Experience in working with transportation-related grants is a plus
- Must be able to manage all grants respective complexities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to excellence
- Capable of working well with a variety of personalities and leadership styles.
- Highly organized and professional demeanor
- Resourcefulness, planning, and problem-solving acumen
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $37.50 per hour
