We are currently seeking to fill the following position:

Job Title: General Laborer/Plater

Pay Rate: $15.50 to $ 17.00 depending on experience

Location: Thomaston, CT

Shift: 2nd shift - 2:00pm to 10:30 pm

Years of Experience Preferred – 1 yr

Job Description:

Trained on all safety/housekeeping & production procedures & methods.

Ability to lift 30lbs frequently in a safe manner.

Effective written & verbal communication skills.

Able to table sort proficiently.

Ability to calculate BBL's vs. cartons, pieces, weight, etc.

Verify travelers and piece counts for all jobs.

Trained and proficient with the safe operation of an electric pallet jack.

Operate an air hoist properly and safely.

Maintain accurate department production and safety records, spread sheets and logs.

Know how to properly line & pack customer containers.

Safety & Housekeeping/ Trained to department standards, maintains a safe/clean dept.

Demonstrate how to read a Traveler effectively.

Capable of reading SDS.

Demonstrated high motivational output.

Maintain an outstanding Attendance/Safety record.

Know & follow break time durations & know break locations.
