General Labor at Local Scrap Yard | $17.00/hr

Monday-Friday with some Saturdays 6am-4pm overtime is required

Locally owned scrap yard in Sioux City, Iowa is searching for a mechanically inclined general labor worker. This position works mostly individually and with a team on the shredder. Responsibilities:

• Perform picking out all parts that are not metal related from a conveyor belt.
• Abides by all Safety Standards and Polices including the use of all personal protective equipment.
• Contributes to team effort by communication and working well with others as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to work after given direction on own
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs
• Must have own transportation.
• Must possess the ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language and contribute to the success of the team.
• Must be able to reach, climb, bend, stoop, sit, and grasp
• Must be able to stand and walk 100% of the shift.
• Must have good hand eye coordination to operator overhead cranes.
