Job description

Position Objective:
Follow the safety and production guidelines of WCR – WCH. Be a vital part of the WCR-WCH team. Produce rubber gaskets that meet or exceed customer expectations. Provide input for continuous improvements throughout the production area
Essential Responsibilities:

· Come to work on time each scheduled workday. Schedule is a 8 hour workday.

· Clock in and out for the workday and scheduled breaks.

· Follow safety guidelines of WCR-WCH.

· Always wear required PPE.

· Upkeep of housekeeping in the work area throughout the day and at the end of the shift.

· Follow written and oral instructions.

· Load rubber rope onto the gasket tools.

· Remove gaskets from the tools and de-flash as necessary using tools such as seam rippers, hot irons, and ceramic knives.

· Clean and or spray mold release on tools as necessary to produce quality product.

· Minor troubleshooting to ensure good product is produced.

· Completion of the hourly production boards.

· Completion of the required documentation throughout the course of the shift.

· Scan in and out of jobs and log production and scrap as required by WCR-WCH.

· Communicate work information and concerns with co-workers and supervisors throughout the day and at shift change.

· Complete any other duties or work as directed by supervision or management.

Work Conditions:

· The position requires working indoors around moving mechanical equipment used to produce rubber gaskets.

· The area may be hot, cold, or have high noise levels at times.

Physical Requirements:

Sit: Rarely - less than 30 minutes a day

Stand: Continuously- more than 7 hours a day

Walk: Frequently- more than 4 hours per day

Lift/Carry: Frequently- 0-25 lbs. more than 8 hours a day

Reach/Bend & Stoop- more than 8 hours a day.

Pushing/Pulling & use of hands -more than 7 hours a day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
