Job Description:

· The ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and other middle management to complete overall nursing operations of Bright Horizons, Inc. as determined by Director of Nursing.

· Be responsible for answering the nursing on-call phone at times specified by the Nursing on-call phone schedule. Inform Director of Nursing and Quality Assurance Director of the status of clients out of the facility for medical reasons, change in client's conditions, etc.

· Provide assessments on new clients transitioning into the Bright Horizons, Inc agency as assigned by the DON.

· Communicate nursing needs or updates with client team members as needed (i.e., client therapists, case managers, guardians etc.).

· Assist with staff training (i.e., wound care, injections, healthcare plans, CARMP and MERP’s, how to take vitals, etc.) as determined by DON.

· Be flexible to assist with audits (IDF, Health Passports, etc.) as needed and directed by the DON.

· Attend weekly administrative meetings, monthly QA Nursing meetings, and any other management meetings as designated by the DON.

· Interact with colleagues, clients, parents, guardians, case managers, visitors to the residential home, and all others in a professional, respectful manner.

· Complete training as required by the Department of Health and Bright Horizons, Inc policies.

· Ensure that Bright Horizons, Inc policies and procedures meet Federal, State and Accrediting Organization’s regulations and standards.

· Abide by all Bright Horizons, Inc Policies and Procedures.

· Carry out any and all duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nursing or LPN License.
• Exhibits leadership skills.
• Be able to read, write and comprehend English.
• Has time management and great communication skills
• Not been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor or other disqualifications listed in 7.1.9 New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC) of Caregivers Criminal History Screening Requirements.
