Lobby 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. Fridays

Qualifications - THOSE WHO MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE GIVEN PREFERENCE FOR EMPLOYMENT
  • Banking experience in loan support or new accounts is preferred although other banking experience would be considered based on longevity in the position and job performance. Most important is a steady work history and at least one year customer service experience from any industry.;
  • Knowledge of Bankway would be ideal;
  • Essential skills include a working knowledge of Word and Excel and, in general, moderate computer skills; math and reasoning abilities;
  • Necessary skills include organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, initiative, communications (verbal, written and interpersonal), the ability to work independently according to Bank policy and procedures, the ability to meet deadlines, to offer assistance to others in a helpful manner and the ability to focus on a task in an open environment with the expectation of interruptions.
  • Learned skills will be knowledge of Bank products and services to evaluate customer needs and assist with questions.
IMPORTANT! Proper grammar, sentence structure and punctuation skills evident on resumes and applications are highly preferred.

Primary Objective - Take care of customers' banking needs with concern and knowledge of Bank products and services according to practice and procedure in a team-oriented environment. A Loan Support/New Accounts Representative has a dual role in supporting a lender and customers throughout the lending process from start to finish and assisting customers with their new account (checking, savings, CD, IRAs) needs. The successful person embraces the challenges of the many responsibilities and performs them with confidence. Loan support serves as the liaison between the lender and customer and instills confidence in the Bank by being informed of the process and completing the many required documents correctly. The most successful loan support person is or becomes knowledgeable of the process to the level that they can handle the loan from start to finish with minimal oversight. The New Accounts role requires knowledge of the Bank's products and services to discern the customer's needs and provide efficient service.

Primary Responsibilities – To prepare or complete loan applications, renewal agreements and transaction tickets; assist or be responsible for clearing exceptions in compliance with regulatory guidelines; correspond with insurance companies to verify coverage; process credit reports and prepare adverse action notices; proof documents and verify all information before the loan is forwarded to Loan Operations or is closed; accept loan payments, transfer funds; responsible for customer and other correspondence and communications; assist customers by phone or in person with loan, new account, IRA and CD needs or by directing customers to the department that can best assist them; daily scan paperwork into the system; order checks, take debit card applications, perform account maintenance, and to speak knowledgeably about Online Banking, Bill Pay and Mobile Banking. New Accounts responsibilities include assisting customers with their new account (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs) needs by following established procedures, clearing exceptions (i.e. errors made during the opening process) in compliance with regulatory guidelines, ordering checks, creating debit cards, scanning paperwork, answering phones and assisting co-workers as needed.

Expectations are to perform all job duties and other responsibilities as assigned and to follow all safety rules and regulations.

Regular attendance according to the work schedule is necessary and essential as is receiving detailed information verbally, in person and by telephone. Extensive reading and computer use is expected the majority of the time.
