Full Time Hotline Advocate
Job description
C.A.R.E. is a dual certified rape crisis and domestic violence center serving Charlotte County residents.
The Hotline Advocate provides direct service advocacy to victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault including answering crisis line, crisis intervention, information and referral, victim crime compensation, and direct advocacy. This position is also responsible for monitoring the safety and security of the center and other duties as assigned. This position requires great multi-tasking abilities and working within a team environment.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma required
- Working knowledge of community resources
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate ability/willingness to work as a team member with minimal supervision
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Punctuality and dependability
