Job description
Summary:
Greets all visitors to the community, answers the telephone, transfers calls, takes accurate messages. Directs residents as necessary. Monitors nurse call system, door security system and fire panel. Monitors resident sign-in and sign-out book and the visitor registration book.
Reports to and is supervised by the Business Office Manager and Director of Community Relations.
Functions:
POLICY/PROCEDURES/ADMINISTRATION
- Transfers calls or takes messages as appropriate and in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Fills out and logs service request forms for residents and/or staff.
- Monitors and greets visitors and potential residents and familes to the community.
- Keeps front desk and lobby area clean and neat at all times.
- Accepts resident rent payments (as assigned) and turns all monies and deposit slips into the Business Office Manager daily.
- Attends in-services and staff meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
RESIDENTS
- Assists with coordinating van schedule for residents.
- Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
STAFF
- Performs supportive office functions for all departments, including filing and typing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be considerate, neat and well groomed and professional in appearance. Must dress appropriately.
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and can sit for extended periods.
- Must possess the ability to function in a busy surrounding.
- Must be able to do light typing.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- Must be able to exert up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
