Full Time Case Worker - Immigration Safe Passages

The Immigrant & Refugee Services Division at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark (www.ccannj.com/refugee_immigration.php) seeks a Case Worker to provide case management services for unaccompanied immigrant children and under the supervision of a Case Manager, the Case Worker (Children & Youth) is responsible for the following duties:
- 1.) Interviewing and documenting interactions with unaccompanied minors
- 2.) Providing case management services including assisting with school registration and providing medical, mental health, social service and legal assistance referrals
- 3.) Maintaining case files, including detailed case reports
- 4.) Logging data and assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting
- 5.) Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- 1) Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
- 2) Ability to organize and maintain files, appointments, and deadlines
- 3) Ability to handle several projects and tasks simultaneously
- 4) Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 5) Prior experience working in social services and/or with immigrant children is preferred but not required.
