This position will lead the creation and improvement of scalable web applications within our growing Retail Strategy team within Swickard Auto Group. The Retail Strategy team is tasked with implementing strategic initiatives that help improve the business efficiency and customer experience across the entire organization. The applications and solutions that this position develops and maintains will be critical to the success of our team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a small team with limited structure and have an entrepreneurial mindset. This position requires the developer to develop apps from start to finish. The position will build apps through all stages of the software development lifecycle including but not limited to design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will also have experience in the automotive retail space, developing full stack applications, connecting to APIs, designing clean and modern UIs, great attention to detail, and be comfortable dealing with high amounts of ambiguity.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, developing apps through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Deliver production quality code within requested timelines
• Mentor junior developer teammates, other analysts, and contribute to the growth of individuals and the overall team.
• Work with sales and service team members to drive product features from design phase to implementation
• Develop easy to use web application UIs
• Build and extend APIs that our applications as well as other teams consume
• Enhance our infrastructure to continue to hit our performance and reliability metrics as we grow.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across the organization.
• Drive data-driven decisions through metrics, experimentation, and experience.
• Drive direct business impact and craft our long-term technical vision with high standards.
• Travel up to 10% annually

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years experience as a full stack developer
• Proficiency developing full stack applications using Bootstrap, NodeJS, Angular JS or React.js, SQL, CSS, HTML, JavaScript
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP
• Must have experience in back end, server-side API's, integrations, client-side JavaScript, and databases
• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodology
• Ability to provide in-depth evaluation of multiple technical directions and determine tradeoffs of each.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Previous Automotive Industry experience preferred
