Job description

We are looking for a bookkeeper/accounting manager for the Vacation Rental and Real Estate division of our company on either a full time or contract position.

About You

  • You already know everything about accounting and quickbooks
  • You are excited to develop a finance and accounting program for reconciliation, reporting, analytical and planning functions
  • You already know all the best practices
  • You love to oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and escrow accounts.
  • You are even willing to perform the tasks of all direct reports in the case of absence or turnover of a staff member.
  • You thrive in a positive working environment that is enjoyable and highly productive.
  • You are an independent “self-starter” with an uncanny attention to detail, ability to prioritize and completely follow-through to absolute completion on tasks and meet deadlines when needed. Since you are interfacing with the other divisions of the company, customers and vendors in a leadership capacity, you possess the ability to communicate in a warm, engaging, and encouraging manner with charm and a sense of humor.

  • You are well-spoken with advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • You are comfortable maintaining a high-profile position as the ‘go-to’ resource for other managers in need of help and direction.
  • You are comfortable with numbers (obviously)
  • You oversee the production of routine financial performance reports
  • You have a strong sense of creativity, initiative, and follow-through to see tasks and processes are completed successfully.
  • You have experience running small projects, including planning, documenting, communicating, and leading project teams.
  • You are comfortable wearing many hats of a small but rapidly growing business, including some HR insights
  • You enjoy balancing your day between routine (daily, weekly, and monthly processes) and projects (each day there is something new and different).
  • You are comfortable with change

Qualifications: * History of successful work experience

  • Possess independent “self-starter” skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • A college degree is highly desirable but not necessary if equivalent work experience and strong leadership skills
  • Possess analytical thinking skills, outstanding written and verbal skills
  • Accomplished written and spoken communicator.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and browser apps
  • Valid Driver’s License
