Full Charge Bookkeeper - Remarketing Solutions International
The Full Charge Bookkeeper serves a critical financial leadership role within RSI. Reporting to the Controller, he/she is responsible for executing strong accounting policies and reporting procedures throughout the organization. He/she owns the monthly closing process, the general ledger, cash management, and controllership for RSI. The position will supervise of staff of one Accounting Clerk, so this is a hands-on position.
Key Priorities of the role:
- Provide oversight and leadership to the accounting department, overseeing financial controls and introducing solid accounting policies across the various parts of the organization, supervise staff of one.
- Develop, direct and maintain timely and accurate financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Provide insightful analysis of results, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist business leadership.
- Manage and complete regular account reconciliations, as well as be responsible for completing non-systematic journal entries to the general ledger.
- Monitor changes in accounting policies and adapt policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Complete the monthly accounting close process in a timely and effective fashion while applying a continuous improvement approach.
- Maintain and improve the infrastructure of the accounting department, including the oversight of internal controls and a comprehensive balance sheet review to support the financial integrity of the organization.
- Serve as a key business partner to all departments including order management, asset services, inventory management, and commercial business development.
- Assist in organizing key leasing partner audits and responding quickly to requirements.
- Coordinate successful annual audits and reviews with the external audit firm.
- Establish, document, and monitor internal controls.
- Preparation of all property and sales/use tax returns.
- Process Bi-weekly payroll for @35 employees and new hire paperwork.
- Contribute to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred, AA Degree minimum requirement
- 5+ Years of Accounting Experience, 3+ years at a Lead / Supervisor level.
- Microsoft Excel Proficiency
- MAS90/Sage Experience preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented and Highly Organized
- Results focus and a Strong Sense of Ownership
- Collaboration and Influencing Skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary $57,500
- Bonus Potential of 5% of Salary
- Benefits include Medical, Dental, and 401K Plan with Matching up to 4% with immediate vesting. Time off includes 2 weeks annual vacation plus sick & personal time and 8 holidays per year.
Position hours would be 8 am to 5 pm M-F with occasional overtime during transition and close.
