FT Nanny Position in Thousand Oaks
Job description
A family in Thousand Oaks is looking for a nanny to care for their sweet 1-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate is someone who is well-versed in child development and can stay ahead by planning activities that are fun and encourage the child to reach milestones. A strong communicator who will keep the parents in the loop and informed is greatly appreciated.
Parents work from home, but there is more than enough room for everyone to have space. The parents’ offices are not close to the playing areas. If you are looking for a laid-back family and a job where you can focus on one child, then this is the job for you!
The Details
Location: Thousand Oaks (91361)
Start Date: As soon as they find the right fit!
Children: 1 year old girl
Hours: 8am-6:30/7pm
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Compensation: $35/hr.
Benefits: Guaranteed Hours + PTO (vacation, personal days, holidays) + Overtime after 40 hours + Accrued sick time + Mileage reimbursement + More for the right fit!
Duration: Long-term, hoping for the nanny to stay for years to come!

Driving: Nanny must have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, responsible driving record and a reliable car to get to/from the family’s home.
Covid-19: The family will only interview vaccinated nannies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nurturing and supportive care to the child
- Follow child’s schedule as provided by parents
- Communicate effectively with parents
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks/bottles
- Clean up after meals
- Motivate and encourage the child to meet milestones
- Discuss the child’s development regularly with parents
- Assisting with baby laundry as needed
- Keep play areas tidy
- Taking initiative! Helping out whenever and wherever possible.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Be energetic, and outgoing with a self-directed personality and a “can do” attitude
- Have at least 8 years of paid childcare experience
- Proficient in infant/toddler development
- Have stellar references
- Have a responsible driving record and be willing to provide a complete driving history report from the DOL
- Infant and Child CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to renew before starting the position)
- Willingness to submit to a Background check
- Ability to make at least a one-year commitment
- Non-smoking / Drug-Free
- Covid-19 vaccinated + booster shot (and willing to get booster shots as recommended by CDC)
- Willingness to get Flu and Tdap vaccines as needed and recommended by CDC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
