As a Front End Software Engineering Apprentice at HP Inc and within B2B eCommerce team, help keep our websites up and running by building fast, scalable, and responsive experiences for the modern web, using technologies like Java, JSP, Javascript, React, Node.js, and Figma.

• You will be working as part of the eCommerce Team developing solutions for HP’s business-to-business team.
• As a Software Engineering Apprentice at HP, you’ll work as part of a larger team of experienced developers in an interactive, collaborative environment.
• You’ll help build rich, dynamic client-side web applications using JSP, JavaScript, Jquery, and React to launch user-friendly, scalable products for B2B eCommerce team
• You’ll learn the fundamentals of development, design, testing, agile principles, and continuous delivery.
• Best of all, you will be a contributing member of your team, putting forward ideas, taking on responsibilities, and making choices about how you get the job done

Education

• Either a High School Diploma, GED, or Associate Degree

Knowledge and Skills

• Prior interest in coding; some exposure to web development through personal projects, academics, or professional experience
• Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as work collaboratively and contribute to an agile team environment
• Flexible to work with teams across the globe
• Drive and eagerness to learn; willingness to build proficiency in the following tools and technologies: JavaScript, HTML 5, Jquery, CSS, React
• Ability to work in a team environment and flexibility to work across time zones
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Willingness to learn and develops skills to strengthen work performance
