The Trinity team is expanding and we’re excited about bringing on an energetic, self-starting, and creative individual to fill our open Platform Engineer position. This person will be an integral member of our innovative and dynamic User Experience team who will be looked to bring interactive experiences to life in collaboration with our UX Designers.
This candidate should possess proficient skills in front-end technologies and frameworks such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, & templating. This candidate should also have experience working within a CMS or an eCommerce platform. You’ll be a great fit for our team if you are able to break down large, complex problems into smaller, solvable problems. Most of all, you must be passionate about what you create and about the impact it can have. That matters to us, a lot.
Requirements:
- Proficient understanding of JavaScript
- Advanced understanding of HTML & CSS
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interact with the DOM (document object model)
- Fundamental API utilization (read only)
- Fundamental Object Oriented Programming
- Fundamental understanding of Data Objects
- Basic knowledge of Shopify/BigCommerce/WordPress
- Fundamental Problem Solving / Diagnostics
- Proficient communication skills (written, verbal, as well as visually through diagrams)
- Knowledge of API applications, AJAX and XML
- Ability to stay calm and focused in crunch time
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Knowledgeable in CSS preprocessors (SASS / LESS)
- Can empathize with the end user to solve user experience issues
- Experience working with UX designers to bring their visual concepts to life
- Knowledge of Shopify, WordPress, or BigCommerce
- Experience with Google Analytics and/or GTM a plus
- Works with UX Designers to create rapid prototypes / high-fidelity mockups
