Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Greets parents/patients arriving for appointments.
- Assists parents with the completion of paperwork for new patients and newborns.
- Verifies insurance for respiratory patient appointments.
- Checks the Kiosk daily to ensure proper functioning.
- Assists parents/patients with check in via the Kiosk and monitoring time usage to ensure timely patient flow.
- Monitors incoming faxes and processes and/or distributes as deemed appropriate.
- Checks patient schedules daily to ensure correctness and that necessary paperwork is present.
- Performs Gaps-in-Care communications with parents/patients.
- Faxes documents as required.
- Answers patient questions and concerns.
- Scans documents into eClinical.
- Assists parents/patients picking up shot records, controlled medications, and other paperwork.
- Receives, sorts and distributes mail.
- Coordinates activities associated with the Reach Out and Read Program.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Demonstrate professional customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Working knowledge of relevant policies and regulations.
- Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.
- Works effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
- Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment.
