Job Description-

A receptionist provides office support to either an individual or team and is vital for the smooth-running of a business. Their duties may include fielding telephone calls and assisting visitors. Additionally, a receptionist is often responsible for office projects and tasks, as well as overseeing the work of building maintenance staff.

Responsibilities-

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure office is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Preparing letters and documents
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/ deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbooks)
  • Contributing to the team by accomplishing tasks as needed
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings

Requirements-

  • Proven work experience
  • Can type a minimum of 30WPM
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Equipment handling (Must be able to lift and carry up to 30lbs)
  • Professional attitude, demeanor, hygiene and overall appreance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Editing and proofreading
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Must be able to take initiative when no direction is given
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 per year
