Front Desk Medical Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator
Job description
We are a Vascular Practice seeking a Front Desk Medical Receptionist and Insurance Coordinator
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
· Welcomes all patients and visitors by greeting them in a pleasant, professional manner.
· Facilitates patient check-in, and ensures they are taken to their visit room in a timely manner.
· Assists in comforting patients and maintaining the reception area.
· Assists patients with the completion of all necessary forms and documentation.
· Answers telephones, responds to inquiries, resolves issues, and schedules patient appointments.
· Collects co-pays and any balances from the patient.
· Builds and maintains patient records, by using the practice EMR system.
· Builds, monitors, and maintains physician schedules, according to the established scheduling guidelines.
· Checks patients out after their visit, facilitates payment capture, schedules follow-ups, and ensures all questions about their care plan are answered appropriately.
· Calls patients who have missed appointments to reschedule.
· Obtains insurance verifications and authorizations for both visits and procedures.

· Computer skills with emphasis on accuracy of patient demographic information.
· Strong multi-tasking, planning, organization, and execution skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Protect patient privacy by adhering to the HIPAA confidentiality guidelines.
· Maintain daily operations of the office by following standard policies and procedures.
· 2 years of Insurance Verification and Authorization required.
· eClinical Works (EMR) Experience a Plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
