Hotel Renovo in Urbandale, Iowa is currently hiring for a full-time front desk agent. Candidates seeking to apply should submit a resume, however, experience is not necessary. This position does not have a set schedule, but would require you to be available for our 7:00am - 3:00pm and 3:00pm – 11:00pm shift. Front desk agent duties would include:

- Ensure guest comfort and satisfaction

- Promptly and effectively deal with guest complaints and requests

- Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner

- Handle guest mail and messages per established procedures

- Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates,

amenities, and selling strategies

- Take reservation requests efficiently

- Answer phones in accordance with standards of proper telephone etiquette

- Block rooms and handle special requests

- Monitor room availability

- Handle safe deposits by guests per established procedures

- Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable

- Offer and properly handle requests for wake-up calls

- Know local area in order to give directions to guests

- Monitor cleanliness of lobby, cont. breakfast area, pool area, vending room, public rest rooms, and back office area

- Provide guests with a 5-star experience.
