Our boutique Hotel located near downtown Harbor Springs is looking for a friendly, organized hotel receptionist to join our growing team. In this position, you will welcome guests to our hotel, make room reservations, and attend to guests’ needs or questions. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that guests experience maximum satisfaction, presenting an excellent image of our hotel that leaves a lasting impression.

Requirements

• Must be flexible in hours and days worked
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs. and carry up to 10 lbs.
• Must have sound judgment and discretional skills and be able to work with little or no supervision
• Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, etc.
• Must display very good organization and time management skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities

Daily Tasks

• Checking guests in and out
• Working with the housekeepers as they complete cleaning rooms
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment
• Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to General Manager and other desk staff
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed

Knowledge and Experience:

· high school diploma or equivalent preferred

· knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products

· physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, bend, and stand for long periods of time.

This is a seasonal position from May 2023 to November 2023.

All customers and staff are required to wear masks. We sanitize throughout the day and provide all cleaning supplies, masks and hand sanitizer as needed.
