Role

Show Caller:

This position is a freelance/contract position for an upcoming event that can potentially lead to other roles in the future.

The Show Caller has the ability to self motivate, communicate and work well both within a team and under pressure. They will lead all aspects of the audio visual technicians and engineers in directing video, lighting, camera, slide shows, speakers, music, and talent. The Show caller is responsible for delivering the audience's experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate rehearsal notes following consultation with the director

• Distribute daily to the production and creative teams.

• Coordinate with the director and stage manager all necessary rehearsal

calls

• Produce a prompt copy of the day-of-event schedule

• Assist the Lead Stage Manager with the pastoral care of the company and

creative team throughout the rehearsal and show period.

• Attend and contribute to production meetings.

• Ability to interface with members of the public during the event

in order to oversee the smooth running of the live event.

• Any other duties as reasonably required

Qualifications

• Experience working on large scale outdoor events

• Excellent teamwork skills.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to plan and effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.

• On the book experience.

• Ability to remain calm while working under pressure

• Available to work scheduled evenings and weekends

• Ability to carry out the physical demands of the job

Job Types: Contract, Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
