Job description
As the Fraud Risk Agent, you will be responsible for accurate and timely completion of reviewing and providing disposition for orders in the daily work queue while minimizing non-fraud cancels. The Fraud Risk Operations team supports the efforts of BestBuy.com while controlling risk associated with fraud losses. The role of Fraud Risk Agent requires capacity to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment to produce outcomes within a time sensitive environment.
The training schedule for this role will be Monday – Friday, 8-4:30p.m. for one month. Once training has been successfully completed, the working schedule will be Tuesday – Saturday, 10-6:30p.m., working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at our corporate office in Richfield, MN, while Friday and Saturday being remote based.

What You’ll Do
- Exposure to web-based applications and Best Buy systems.
- Held accountable to industry rules and regulations regarding personally identifiable information (PII).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as, monitor voicemail, email, and related information to mitigate fraud.
- Identify and evaluate options then provide solutions for corrective action as well as escalate high risk situations appropriately.
- Facilitate and drive cross-functional interactions with our retail partners to provide timely service to our customers.
- Ability to differentiate between valid orders from unauthorized attempts while spotting trends.
- Build and enhance operational procedures.
- Effectively works and communicates with team members, supervisors, and managers.
Basic Qualifications
- 6 months of fraud, risk analysis, or related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field OR equivalent work experience
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational agility
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
